NAHCON Announces Commencement of Online Applications for 2025 Hajj National Medical Team (NMT)

The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) is pleased to announce the opening of the online application portal for the 2025 Hajj National Medical Team (NMT). This call is specifically targeted at qualified medical professionals, including Medical Doctors, Pharmacists, Nurses, and Environment/Community Health Officers (CHO/EHO), who are interested in serving as part of the medical team for the 2025 Hajj exercise.
The application portal will be accessible via NAHCON’s official website. Interested applicants are to click on “Resources” and then select “NMT Application Portal” from the main menu. The portal will open on 8th March 2025 at 12:00 midnight and close on 14th March 2025 at 11:59 pm.
Guidelines, Terms, and Conditions for Application
NAHCON has outlined specific guidelines and requirements for applicants seeking to join the 2025 Hajj National Medical Team. Below are the key details:
- Eligibility Criteria
- Only eligible medical personnel are to apply.
- Doctors must be between 27 – 60 years of age.
- Pharmacists must be between 26 – 60 years of age.
- Nurses and other health officers must be between 22 – 60 years of age.
- General Requirements
- Applicants must be in active service at the time of application.
- Applicants must not have served in the last three Hajj exercises (2022, 2023, and 2024).
- Applicants must be ready to work for 28 days and remain in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for up to 45 days before returning to Nigeria.
- Successful applicants will not be disengaged for any reason before completing their allotted 28 days of duty.
- Volunteerism
- The 2025 National Medical Team operation will be based on volunteerism, in line with international standards as agreed by NAHCON management.
- All successful personnel are to serve on a voluntary basis.
- Application Process
- The application is free of charge. NAHCON does not require or charge any fee directly or through agents for this application.
- Filling out the application form does not guarantee eligibility for the position.
- Information provided by applicants will determine their eligibility for the next stage of screening or examination.
- Any omission, misstatement, or falsification of information may lead to the rejection of the application or removal from the eligibility list.
- Required Documents
Applicants are required to attach the following documents to their application:
- Guarantor’s form (attested by a credible personality such as a career civil servant not below GL 15, traditional ruler, magistrate, or local government chairman).
- Basic professional certificate.
- NYSC certificate (where applicable).
- Current annual professional practicing license.
- Profile picture (taken against a white background).
- Applicant’s declaration.
- Employer’s clearance letter.
- Guarantor’s Attestation
- Every application must be accompanied by an attestation from a guarantor who has known the applicant for at least 5 years. The guarantor must be able to vouch for the applicant’s integrity, capacity, and capability.
- Code of Conduct
- All successful applicants are expected to exhibit good conduct and adhere to the code of ethics of their respective professions. They must also comply with all rules and regulations set by NAHCON to guide the operations of the NMT.
