Bayero University Kano

Bayero University Kano (BUK) is a prominent public research university located in Kano, Kano State, Nigeria. Established in 1975, it has evolved significantly from its origins as Ahmadu Bello College in 1960, becoming the first university in North-western Nigeria and a respected institution nationally and internationally. Its motto, “…and above every possessor of knowledge there is one more learned,” reflects its commitment to academic excellence and continuous intellectual growth.
