The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd.), headquartered in Abuja, Nigeria, is a dynamic global energy company and the national oil company of Nigeria. Transformed into a limited liability company in July 2022 under the Petroleum Industry Act (PIA), NNPC Ltd.² operates across the entire energy value chain, from upstream exploration and production to downstream refining, distribution, and marketing of petroleum products.

Key Activities & Offerings:

• Exploration & Production: Managing government interests in the oil and gas industry, and directly engaging in crude oil and gas exploration and production. NNPC Ltd. partners with international oil companies (IOCs) such as Shell, ExxonMobil, TotalEnergies, Chevron, and Eni.
• Gas Development: Expanding and upscaling gas processing and transportation infrastructure to meet domestic gas needs and exports, including LNG.
• Refining & Distribution: Involved in petroleum refining through its subsidiaries (e.g., Warri, Kaduna, and Port Harcourt Refineries) and the distribution and marketing of petroleum and petrochemical products across Nigeria, including managing filling stations.
• Petrochemicals: Engaging in the development of petrochemical industries.
• Sustainable Energy: Exploring and investing in new energy sources such as solar and biofuels, and promoting environmental sustainability through long-term decarbonization programs.
• Research & Development: Conducting research in connection with petroleum and its derivatives to enhance efficiency and sustainability.
• Corporate Social Responsibility: Through the NNPC Foundation, undertaking initiatives in education, health, environment, and access to energy, aligned with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
