Enugu State University of Science and Technology

The Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT) is a prominent Nigerian public university with a strong focus on science, management, and technology. Established in 1980 as the Anambra State University of Technology (ASUTECH), it holds the distinction of being the first state university and the first University of Technology in Nigeria. Its name changed to ESUT in 1991 following the creation of Enugu State.

Vision and Mission: ESUT’s vision is to be an internationally respected university in Africa, committed to rigorous scholarship that promotes service to humanity through quality teaching, research, and community social responsibility. Its mission is to produce graduates who can compete globally and to promote scholarship, particularly in science, management, and technology, to develop skilled manpower capable of utilizing technology for societal benefit.

Campuses and Structure: ESUT operates with its main campus located in Agbani, Enugu State, and also includes the Enugu campus and the Enugu State College of Medicine. The university has grown to encompass six schools and numerous academic departments, offering a wide array of undergraduate and postgraduate programs.
